Back from FoQ and I had a great time. Met older and newer members of PP and enjoyed spending time with C and C, plus my Granddaughter G who is new to sewing rather than quilting.
Missed seeing some regulars there this year but have hopes for an even better time next year.
So what did I buy?
Surprisingly not a lot but I achieved so much especially related to my sewing machine problem which was driving me crazy. A simple plastic ‘ankle’ (which holds the foot on the machine) had become faulty over the years so I bought a new one last year from a company in Blackburn which would not lock onto/hold the foot. Visiting the Husqvarna Stand resolved the problem as the man there identified it was a faulty ankle. Bought a new one which he ‘snapped’ into my own machine foot….was like music to my ears….. Have spoken to company man and I’m returning the faulty one for full refund tomorrow. Yay! Then I was also able to get advice about my overlockers too….so that will be good when sorted.
While at Husqvarna Stand I had a look for a new machine for the near future and have chosen the Husqvarna Designer Topaz…this will mean I can move on with a UFO project!
Got several freebies for myself and GD G. She bought more than I did and enjoyed going but I did get one ½ metre of woven for planned Japanese designer quilt and some new thread. Those who know me know that I have no room for more fabric….seriously
Met lovely lady Sandra E who was the first person to make a satchel (and send photos to me) from my new ebook ‘How to Make Your Own Fabric Satchel’ (see above).
Sandra has made 3 beautiful satchels in such a short space of time, and also made a matching purse (from another pattern maker) there is more to come from Sandra too. Can’t wait to see them as all of her work is amazing.
So it’s now back to reality and I need to finish ebook number 2 and upload to Amazon. I also have to finish my GD’s curtain this week so very busy week for me.
Hope all are well
